GPAC Takes 7th at Southeastern Champs

GPAC traveled to Huntsville, Alabama for the 2024 Short Course Southeastern Championships
from February 15 th -18th. GPAC had a total of 32 swimmers participate in our SES
Championship meet with 30 of GPAC swimmers achieving at least one new best time. GPAC
accumulated 126 best times out of 194 total swims: coming out to 65% best times across the
team. GPAC finished the Short Course Championship weekend by placing 7 th overall with over
1200 points.


Anatolie Badila , 10, won Best Overall for 10&Under boys scoring 138 points for the team.
Anatolie had a tremendous meet- winning the 200-yd Individual Medley, 100-yd Butterfly, 500-
yd Freestyle and the 100 -yd Backstroke and placed second in the 200-yd Freestyle and 50 yd
Butterfly. Badila swam life-time best times in all six events at the meet.


Logan Robinson, 17, won Best Overall for his age group, scoring 141 points for the team.
Logan had an impressive meet- winning the 200-yd Freestyle, 200 and 400-yd Individual
Medley, 100 and 200-yd Butterfly and placing second by .01 in the 100-yd Freestyle which tied
the team record! Robinson set new team records in the 200-yd Butterfly and 400-yd Individual
Medley.


The GPAC boys 400-yd Medley Relay of Ian Malone, Max Little, Logan Robinson and
Braedan Jacobs won the bronze medal and eclipsed the team record set last year by .06 to set
the new team record.


Swimmers who achieved ALL Best Times at the meet included: Addison Adams (10), Marcela
Dos Santos (11), AJ Gillespie (10), Drew Henry (16) Anderson Saksa (12), Rowan Schwartz
(13), Cain Scoggins(16), Caroline Smith (15).


12 and under swimmers who placed top 10: Addison Adams, Marcela Dos Santos, Aliza
Gardner
, AJ Gillespie, Lane Robinson and Jordana Wright.


13 and over swimmers who placed top 20: Lauren Armstrong, Taylor Clements, Graeson
Garcia, Jack Hebert
, Drew Henry, Amelia Ilnitskiy, Braedon Jacobs, Addison Lee, Max
Little, Ian Malone, Abi Robinson, Cain Scoggins, Caroline Smith, Nathan Yoon.
