GPAC Swim School Specifics

GPAC is a proud to be a local partner with the Make a Splash campaign!

Make a Splash is a national child-focused water safety initiative created by the USA Swimming Foundation, with the goal  of teaching every child in America how to swim. It works by aligning the nation's top learn-to-swim resources in an effort to save lives. Make a Splash educates parents through a national awareness campaign, saves lives by joining forces with grassroots learn-to-swim programs and reaches thousands of children through wide-reaching in-school materials.

Swim School Levels
Please remember, there are several skills in each level and each child progresses at their own rate. Your child may be in a level for more than one session.

Beginner Level:
For swimmers with little or no experience in the water. Swimmers will learn water safety, floating, glides, kicking and will begin to put the freestyle and backstroke together.

Intermediate Level:
For swimmers who have mastered the Beginner Level skills. Swimmers will build on freestyle and backstroke as well as learn the breaststroke.

Pre-Competitive Level:
For swimmers who have mastered the Intermediate Level skills. Swimmers will build endurance, learn the butterfly kick and will be introduced to competitive swimming drills. Upon successful completion of this level, swimmers will be ready for the GPAC White Training Group (beginner group).
