ATAC Mac Crutchfield Invitational

GPAC traveled to Tallahassee, Florida January 31st- February 2nd to compete in their last meet before the 2025 Southeastern Championships. GPAC had a total of 58 swimmers attend the meet, totaling 346 swims and achieving 153 best times- 44% total best times for GPAC! 88% of the athletes who attended the meet achieved at least one personal best time.

Jacob Fischer, 8, won high point for his age group. Jacob swam seven personal best times and won three of his events.

Lane Robinson, 12, won high pint runner up for his age group. Lane swam 4 personal best times and won five of his events.

GPAC had six other swimmers win individual events at the meet. Addison Adams(11), won her 50 & 100 Fly and 100 Back. Taylor Clements (16), won her 200 Breaststroke, 200 Backstroke and 100 Fly. Marcela Dos Santos ( 13), won her 200 IM, 100 & 200 Freestyle and the 200 Fly. Landon Garcia (16), won his 100 Fly. Max Little (17), won the 200 Breaststroke and Abi Robinson ( 16), won her 200 IM.

Congratulations to Emma McLaughlin(13) and Grace Walen (14)for swimming best times in all their individual events over the weekend. 

Several swimmers posted new Southeastern (SES) Championship, Age Group Sectionals and Senior Sectional cuts:

SES: AJ Gillespie (11) in the 500 FR, Addison Lee ( 17) in the 400 IM, Arthur Phillips ( 13) in the 200 BR, Grace Walen(14) in the 1650 FR and Justin Washburn ( 13) in the 100 & 200 Fly and 100 BK.  

Age Group Sectionals: Marcela Dos Santos ( 13)  and Grace Walen (14).

Senior Sectionals: Taylor Clements and Landon Garcia.

The following swimmers posted new motivational times at the meet:

B: Keagan Harrison, Lincoln Purdy, Vale Purdy, Laliyah Roland, Maliyah Roland , Galen Schwartz and Ava Walker.

BB: Kennedy CarterOliver Johnson, Tyler Lewis, Emma McLaughlin, Arthur Phillips, Ava Walker, Justin Washburn and Nathan Yoon.

A: AJ Gillespie, Amelia Ilnitskiy, Justin Washburn and Nathan Yoon.

AA: Marcela Dos Santos, Addison Lee and Grace Walen.

This was a great meet for GPAC and gave our swimmers an opportunity to qualify for the championship meet. 2025 Southeastern Championships is coming up fast, February 21st – 23rd in Huntsville, Alabama. GPAC will be hosting Region IV Championships at UWF February 28th- March 2nd.
