Nate Thomas Commits to Purdue!!!

Nate Thomas has verbally committed to Purdue University!

Nate on choosing Purdue, "It is overwhelming when considering the many college swim programs that are actively trying to recruit you.  However, Purdue University had all of the factors that I was looking for in selecting the right school for me.  Purdue has the academics, research opportunities, athletics, and a beautiful campus and swim facility. Purdue also allows me the opportunity to return back home to Indiana to attend college with old friends and teammates that attend Purdue.  Purdue’s Big Ten swim program is the perfect fit for me in every way.  I am very excited to swim for Head Coach Dan Ross and Sprint Coach J. Agnew! I can’t wait to start my college experience off as a Boiler! BOILER UP!"

Nate’s best times in his major events are as follows; 50 Freestyle (21.02) , 100 Freestyle (47.27), 200 freestyle (1:44.11) 100 Breaststroke (:58.73) and 100 Butterfly (52.00).  He looks to factor into the Boilers Sprint group primarily, however since Nate is relatively new to the sport (3 years) his events and times are ever changing so he may add depth in multiple disciplines.  Nate will finalize his comittment to Purdue by signing a National Letter of Intent during the early signing period in mid November.

GPAC is proud of Nate and hisaccomplishments!  WAY to GO!
