GPAC Summer Finale 

 

GPAC hosted Summer Finale, its last home meet of the long course season from July 1-2. GPAC had a total of 84 swimmers participate in the meet with 79 of GPAC swimmers achieving at least 1one best time. In total GPAC swimmers accumulated 312 personal best times out of 521 total swims; coming out to 60% best times as a whole! What a way to end the last home meet GPAC! 

GPAC swimmers swept all the age groups’ high point wins, except the 8&U girls. “Job well done” to these winning swimmers: 

8&Under Boys:

Maverick Turner (8)- Maverick won all 6 of his events (8&Under 100 Back; 50 Fly; 50 Free; 50 Back; 50 Breast; 100 Free) and posted 5 new Best Times!

9-10 Girls + Boys:

Addison Adams (9)- Addison won all 7 of her events (9-10 100 Back; 50 Fly; 50 Free; 200 IM; 200 Free; 50 Breast; 100 Free) and posted 5 new Best Times! 

Axel Phillips (10)- Axel won all 8 of his events (9-10 100 Back; 50 Fly; 50 Free; 200 IM; 200 Free; 50 Back; 100 Fly; 100 Free) and posted 3 new Best Times!

11-12 Girls + Boys: 

Marcela Dos Santos (11)- Marcela won 5 out of her 8 events (11-12 400 Free; 100 Back; 200 IM; 50 Back; 100 Fly) and posted 5 new best times.

Arthur Phillips (11)- Arthur won 3 out of his 9 events (11-12 400 Free; 100 Back; 50 Fly) and posted 6 new best times.

13-14 Girls + Boys:

Audrey Turner (14)- Audrey won 4 out of her 6 events (14&Under 100 Breast; 200 IM; 200 Back; 400 IM) and posted 4 new best times.

Aidan Hall (14)- Aidan won 6 out of his 7 events (14&Under 100 Back; 100 Breast; 50 Free; 100 Fly; 100 Free; 200 Breast) and posted 2 new best times.

15&Over Girls + Boys:

Sara Lypko (18)- Sara won 4 out of her 5 events (15&Over 800 Free; 200 Free; 100 Fly; 100 Free). Congratulations Sara on a fantastic GPAC career and finishing up her last home meet as a GPAC swimmer! 

Logan Robinson (17)- Logan won all 6 of his events (15&Over 400 Free; 200 Fly; 800 Free; 100 Fly; 200 Back; 1500 Free) and posted a new AAAA time! 

GPAC boasted many individual event winners at the meet.

Lauren Armstrong (15)- Lauren won the 15&Over 400 Free; 200 Fly; 1500 Free and posted 3 new Best Times out of her 6 events!

Anatolie Badila (10)- Anatolie won the 9-10 400 Free and posted 6 for 6 on Best Times! 

Graeson Garcia (13)- Graeson won the 13-14 400 Free/ 14&Under 200 Fly; 400 IM and posted 5 new Best Times out of his 6 events!

Landon Garcia (15)- Landon won the 15&Over 200 IM; 400 IM and posted 3 for on Best Times!

AJ Gillespie (10)- AJ won the 9-10 100 Breast and posted 5 new Best Times out of his 8 events! 

JoJo Harris (17)- JoJo won the 15&Over 100 Fly and posted 5 new Best Times out of her 6 events! 

Hannah Hunt (14)- Hannah won the 14&Under 200 Breast and posted 5 new Best Times out of her 7 events! 

Amelia Ilnitskiy (13)- Amelia won the 14&Under 200 Fly; 100 Fly and posted 4 new Best Times out of her 7 events! 

Noah Jacobs (14)- Noah won the 14&Under 200 IM; 200 Free; 200 Back and posted 2 new Best Times out of his 7 events!

Addison Lee (16)- Addison won the 15&Over 200 Breast and posted 2 new Best Times out of his 6 events!

Max Little (16)- Max won the 15&Over 100 Back; 200 Free and posted 5 for 5 on Best Times! 

Nicky Lypko (11)- Nicky won the 11-12 200 IM; 200 Free and posted 4 new Best Times out of his 8 events! 

Kiley Menser (14)- Kiley won the 14&Under 50 Free and posted 2 new Best Times out of her 6 events! 

Meryl Ramos (8)- Meryl won the 8&Under 100 Breast; 50 Breast and posted 2 new Best Times out of her 8 events! 

Shelby Smith (17)- Shelby won the 15&Over 200 Breast and posted 1 new Best Time out of her 6 events! 

Charlie Striepeck (10)- Charlie won the 9-10 100 Breast and posted 2 new Best Times out of her 6 events! 

Lily Walker (14)- Lily won the 13-14 400 Free/ 14&Under 800 Free and posted 3 for 3 on Best Times! 

Jordana Wright (12)- Jordana won the 11-12 50 Fly and posted 4 new Best Times out of her 8 events!

Nearly 40 swimmers will make the trek to Huntsville in a week to compete in the SES championships, and then some other swimmers will attend some upper-level championships meets in Ocala, Fl, Tupelo, MS, and Irvine, California.
