GPAC Tom Lalor Invitational June 6- June 8th 2025 GPAC hosted the annual Tom Lalor Invitational on June 6th- 8th. GPAC had a total of 75 swimmers participate in the meet with 69 of them achieving at least one life-time best. Taylor Clements gives verbal to West Virginia Taylor Clements, the first swimmer in GPAC’s class of 2026, and the first GPAC swimmer since 2024, has given her verbal commitment to West Virginia University. “I am so honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at WVU. GPAC traveled to Ocala, FL for the FAST May Invite on May 16th-18th. GPAC had a total of 16 swimmers participate in the meet and all of them achieved at least one life-time best. GPAC hosted the annual Flip Flop Invitational on May 3 rd and 4th. GPAC had a total of 75 swimmers participate in the meet with 70 GPAC swimmers achieving at least one life-time best. In total, GPAC had 329 best times out of 433 swims, coming out to 76% best times for GPAC as a whole. The 2025 NCSA Spring Swimming Championships were held in Orlando, FL March 18th- 22nd. Taylor Clements, Landon Garcia, Addison Lee, Max Little, Ian Malone, Cain Scoggins and Coulson Voeltz made up the 2025 GPAC National Team at this event swimming a total of 30 individual events. Taylor Clements started off her meet, erasing a 31-year-old Team Record in 100 Freestyle with a time of 50:81. Taylor also competed in the 50 and 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, 100 Fly and 50 FR. Marcela Dos Santos, Drew Henry, Oliver Johnson, Grace Walen and Justin Washburn represented GPAC at the 2025 Swim Atlanta Best of the South Invitational on March 14th-16. The team accumulated 8 best times out of 18 total swims, coming out to 44% best times overall. Congratulations to Oliver Johnson who achieved A times in his 100 and 500 Free and Grace Walen achieved an A time in her 50 Free. This was a great meet to end the short course season for the swimmers!
GPAC hosted the 2025 Short Course SES Region 4 Championships February 28 th through March 2nd, and it was a great meet to end the short course season on for GPAC. GPAC traveled to Huntsville, Alabama for the 2025 short course Southeastern Championships February 21st-23rd. Twenty five swimmers represented GPAC at the Championship meet with 22 of them achieving at least one new best time. GPAC accumulated 67 best times out of 117 swims: coming out to 57% best times across the team and finished 12th place with 571 points. GPAC traveled to Tallahassee, Florida January 31st- February 2nd to compete in their last meet before the 2025 Southeastern Championships. GPAC had a total of 58 swimmers attend the meet, totaling 346 swims and achieving 153 best times- 44% total best times for GPAC! 88% of the athletes who attended the meet achieved at least one personal best time. GPAC started the new year with its annual Winter Invitational held at UWF aquatic center January 17th-19th. Out of the 117 swimmers that competed, 112 of those swimmers achieved at least one personal best time, coming out to 59% best times for the team.
